Seller Fees and Payout Policy
How marketplace fees, taxes, adjustments, payout eligibility and payout destinations are handled for Shopville shops.
No undisclosed charge
A fee applies only when it is shown in the shop dashboard, an accepted plan or a written commercial schedule before it is charged. The applicable record will identify the rate or amount and tax treatment.
Fees and invoices
Shopville may charge an agreed commission, subscription, payment, logistics, advertising or service fee. Applicable GST or other tax may be added. The shop dashboard, invoice or written schedule provides the controlling amount for the relevant service.
Order proceeds and adjustments
- Buyer payments may be collected and settled through regulated payment or banking partners.
- Refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, shipping adjustments, promotional contributions and fees may reduce the payable balance.
- Shopville may correct calculation errors and will show the correction in the payout or account record.
- A negative balance may be recovered from later proceeds or another lawful recovery method after notice.
Tax deductions and seller responsibility
Shopville may collect, deduct, deposit and report tax when required, including GST tax collected at source or income-tax tax deducted at source. Certificates or statements are provided where applicable. The shop remains responsible for registrations, classification, invoices, returns and its own tax advice.
Payout eligibility and timing
A payout becomes eligible only after the applicable order, delivery, return, fraud and reconciliation checks. Any payout date shown is an estimate and bank or provider processing can add time.
Shopville may temporarily hold or reserve amounts reasonably connected with refunds, disputes, suspected fraud, verification, legal directions, account suspension or an unusual risk of buyer claims. Unaffected eligible amounts should not be held longer than reasonably necessary.
Payout destination
Payouts are sent only to the verified bank account or supported destination recorded for the shop. The shop must ensure that the legal name, account holder and tax details are consistent and must follow the secure review process for changes. Shopville will not change a protected payout destination merely from an email or support message.
Reconciliation and questions
The dashboard payout record should identify gross proceeds, relevant deductions, tax and the net amount. Report a discrepancy promptly through Shopville support with the order or payout reference. Records required for tax, disputes or audit may be retained after account closure.
